Russian MP flew to Georgia after initiating a fake case against her
Novosibirsk City Council deputy Helga Pirogova flew to Georgia after initiating a criminal case against her for spreading fakes about the Armed Forces (AF) of Russia. On Monday, July 25, reports TASS with reference to a colleague of the politician Svetlana Kaverzina.
“She’s out of the country [России]she is in Georgia, ”said the interlocutor of the agency, indicating that she learned this from Pirogova herself.
It is noted that the journalists of the agency failed to get through to Pirogova personally. Her lawyer Yegor Solunin assured that he had no information about the departure of his client.
The interrogation of Pirogova in the case of fakes was scheduled for Monday morning, July 25. If she fails to appear, she may be put on the wanted list.
Previously it was reported that investigative committee Russia (TFR), on behalf of the head of department Alexander Bastrykin, opened a criminal case against Helga Pirogova under article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”). It is noted that Pirogova on July 15 published a negative comment on the social network with fake information about the dead Russian servicemen.
