The Russian bank VEB announced a series of DDoS attacks on the site after the introduction of US sanctions. It is reported by RBC with reference to a representative of the state corporation.
On February 22, after receiving information about new Washington restrictions, the site stopped loading and gave an error when trying to enter it.
Earlier, Promsvyazbank, which fell under US sanctions, explained its future work. The financial institution said that the restrictions will not have a significant impact on its activities. They stressed that the imposition of sanctions was expected, the necessary measures were prepared in advance and carried out in a working order.
The US Treasury confirmed the imposition of sanctions against Russian banks VEB and Promsvyazbank, as well as their 42 subsidiaries.
