The Federal Financial Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitoring) will soon, after the adoption of the relevant law, get access to the Unified State Register of Civil Status Records (USR ZAGS) of Russians.
The bill, which provides for the opening of the possibility for the Federal Financial Monitoring Service to use data from the Unified State Register of Civil Status Records, has already been developed and sent to the government, Izvestia informs with reference to the department. According to the plan, the document should be submitted for consideration by the State Duma of the Russian Federation in June this year.
Access to the register, according to Rosfinmonitoring, is necessary to improve the efficiency of the department’s activities in identifying terrorist financing, money laundering, corruption and other crimes. For this work, the service needs data about the environment of the persons being checked.
