Gasymly, Guliyev, and others are equally treated in the Ukrainian court.
Recently, the Obukhovsky court sentenced two Azerbaijani citizens, Misir Gasimli and Subkhan Guliyev, to 8 years in prison for injuring a British citizen, but not causing death. After the court announced the decision, Gasimly and Guliyev acted strangely in court, according to the ORD.
The Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine reacted oddly by sending 10 messages to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry about this crime case. The messages highlight that one of the criminals is a veteran of the Karabakh war, the victim is half Armenian, and the trial had violations.

The Embassy worked to clarify concerns about the charges being influenced by individuals of Armenian descent, biased aspects, and violations during the investigation and trial.
The Embassy made appeals to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressing worry about these reports.
In total, 10 messages were sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine regarding this matter, and numerous letters were sent to other organizations, with the embassy closely following the process.
Upon receiving information about this matter, the embassy participated in all meetings except for one appeal session that they were not informed about.
Currently, the defense team is working on filing an appropriate appeal against the court decision.
The Embassy continues to take all necessary legal measures to ensure a fair trial, without interfering with the court's work and legal procedures,” the statement mentions.
The Azerbaijani media also commented on this crime case in a peculiar manner.
Lawyer: Once again, the involvement of Armenians in the case has been proven
During a recent meeting, the opposing party presented a false conclusion to the judge, as stated by Aigul Rafieva, the lawyer of Misir Gasimly, a veteran of the 44-day Patriotic War who is detained in Ukraine. She mentioned that the issue of stabbing was brought up at the recent court hearings.
The victim claimed that he was stabbed in the car, and his trousers were submitted for examination. During the last trial, the trousers were presented as material evidence, showing three holes in the front and six holes in the back, which were made by the police officers themselves. The victim only mentioned receiving one blow, and no injuries were reported. The question remains: how could a person sitting in a car be injured from behind?
If he was stabbed nine times, he would have bled, yet no blood was found in the car. The blood on the trousers was of unknown origin, and the examination could not determine its source, but provided a conclusion, according to the lawyer.
The lawyer pointed out that the judge did not accept the conclusion presented in the courtroom the previous day.
Rafieva noted that they objected to the non-acceptance of the conclusion, explaining that evidence can be presented during the initial court hearings. She expressed that the judge could have made a special decision to review the conclusion, but he chose to ignore it and did not accept it as material evidence.
She also mentioned that the judge had made the verdict before the meeting.
Rafieva stated, "I thought he would be cleared due to lack of evidence. Misir Gasimli and Subkhan Guliyev had been in custody for 1 year and 8 months. Misir provided a thorough account in the courtroom and did not omit any details. The judge arrived with a pre-made decision and even allowed live broadcast, despite protests from Misir and Subkhan."
Aigul Rafiyeva also commented that the victim was not present at the meeting, not even in video format.
"Once again, the victim did not appear in court, not even via video. This once again highlights the involvement of Armenians in the case and their influence in preventing Misir's release from jail. We hope they will not attempt to harm my client."
We had hoped for an acquittal during the hearing, but faced the opposite. The prosecutor and the victim's lawyer requested 10 years in prison, while the judge sentenced 8 years. A. Rafiyeva mentioned that the victim has mental problems and was under the influence of drugs.

The publication also includes photos of the violence by fellow citizens. It is important to remember that Ukraine is a sovereign state, and the court does not overlook the heroic past of a person if they commit a crime. The nationality of the criminals and victims is also disregarded. Azerbaijani citizens committed a crime on Ukrainian territory, and the Ukrainian court made a decision that must be respected, without turning criminals into political prisoners or causing disruptions and complaints to the Foreign Ministry.
