As explained by the staff of the hospital where the victim ended up, she has three daughters, and her husband threatened to leave her if the woman gave birth to another. “She is in her third month of pregnancy, and because of her fear of her husband, she went to a healer Then the victim returned home and hammered a nail into her head. Family members found her after she screamed in pain and she was taken to the hospital,” the hospital said.
According to neurosurgeon Haider Suleman, the victim was taken to the hospital with bleeding. She was given first aid before being sent to the operating room. She said that in her area a woman did the same and gave birth to a boy, although the ultrasound showed a girl.
The nail penetrated deep into the skull, the woman lost consciousness. Her relatives tried to get it on their own at home, but could not. Already in the hospital, doctors performed an operation and successfully removed the nail.
The police set up a task force to “bring to justice the fake healer who played with the life of an innocent woman and stuffed her head with the false communication of the birth of a boy.”
