Oleg Muratov. The deputy head of the Odessa police department was detained by the SBU
The SBU officially confirmed the information about the detention of the deputy head of the Odessa police department Oleg Muratov on suspicion of receiving a large bribe, Strana writes.
According to the press -service of the SBU, an official for money offered the head of one of the structural divisions of the OVA his “assistance” in order to avoid criminal liability for misappropriation of state property.
For 35 thousand dollars, Oleg Muratov promised to resolve the issue of closing the relevant production, where an official appeared. To do this, he planned to use personal connections in law enforcement agencies.
As part of monitoring the crime, the SBU documented the fact that an “advance payment” in the amount of $27,000 was transferred to an official.
During the searches at the places of residence of the defendant and in his car, more than $45,000 was found; more than €21 thousand; gold bars and coins.
Muratov was informed of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code: Part 4 of Art. 190 (seizure of other people's property by breach of trust (fraud) committed on an especially large scale); Part 2 Art. 15, part 4 of Art. 27, part 3 of Art. 369 (completed attempt to incite to provide an unlawful benefit to an official in a responsible position, for the commission by an official in the interests of giving such a benefit of any action using his official position).
