The reason they're working out their issues on social media is because their oldest daughter, North West, made a TikTok account without her father knowing.
Rapper Kanye West, 44, and reality TV star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian, 41, have gotten into a public argument over their oldest daughter North, who made a TikTok account without her father’s permission. The conflict started on the Instagram accounts of the former couple.
The argument started when the musician posted a picture of his 8-year-old daughter, North, on Instagram and asked in the caption: “Since this is my first divorce, I need to know what to do with my daughter, who was posted on TikTok without my approval?”

Later, Kim responded on her Instagram story, criticizing Kanye’s “constant attacks” on her, accusing him of causing “pain” to their family in a lengthy statement in which she referred to herself as “primary caregiver.”
“Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and social media are actually more harmful than any TikTok North that can be created. As a parent who is the main provider and guardian of our children, I do my best to protect our daughter while also letting her express her creativity in the environment she wants, under adult supervision, because it makes her happy. Divorce is already hard for our kids, and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation in such a negative and public way only makes it worse for everyone,” Kardashian wrote.

From the start, she said, she just wanted a healthy and supportive co-parent relationship because “that’s what’s best for our kids, and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make that impossible every step of the way.”
Kim expressed her desire to resolve all child-related issues in private, and mentioned that over the past year, her almost ex-husband has already switched lawyers three times.
West then responded by sharing a screenshot of Kim’s statement.
“What do you mean by main provider? America saw you try to prank my daughter on her birthday without giving an address. You set up security at the house for me to play with my son, and then accused me of stealing. I had to take a drug test after a party in Chicago because you accused me of using drugs. Tracey Romulus, stop influencing Kim to act like this,” Ye (Kanye West’s new name) said in an angry message. The Tracey Romulus he mentions is Kim Kardashian West Brands’ chief financial officer and close friend.

As for the account at the center of the scandal, it's called “Kim and North,” and currently has 5.6 million subscribers. The page states that it is managed by an adult. Recent posts there have been focused on the feud between Kim and Kanye, and several articles have already been written about it.
Kim started an account for her daughter back in November last year. Account comments are disabled, which protects North from any negative or inappropriate messages from the trolls.
The girl’s page on the social network is the last, but far from the only sign that the divorce is not going as smoothly as Kim would like, who has yet to resolve the issue of custody of four children from West through the courts. In addition to North, the couple has 6-year-old Saint, 4-year-old Chicago and 2-year-old Psalm.
Last month, Kanye gave an interview for Hollywood Unlocked in which he hinted that the 41-year-old Kim was somehow preventing him from seeing his children. He also stated that he does not want his daughter to be on TikTok. In his recent publication on the social network, the artist recalled that it is forbidden for children under 12+ to start pages on this social network.

“Don’t let my daughter wear lipstick on TikTok, or don’t let her appear on TikTok at all if I don’t approve of it,” he said.
