The UK has imposed new sanctions on Russians and Russian companies.
So, a number of journalists fell under the restriction: TV presenter Mikhail Leontiev, war correspondents Yevgeny Poddubny, Alexander Kots and Dmitry Steshin, presenter and author of programs at the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Nailya Asker-zade, head of the English-language editorial office of RT Brian MacDonald. Also on the sanctions list were Russian presidential aide Maxim Oreshkin and Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov. The head of the “Discovery” Mikhail Zadornov, the chairman of the board of Sovcombank Dmitry Gusev were also there. The sanctions provide for a ban on entry into the country and blocking in the UK of all assets of these individuals.
The restrictions affected PJSC KamAZ, the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, the English-language publication South Front, the InfoRos news agency and the SCF (Strategic Culture Foundation) publication.
