In 2014, the nephew of the President of the Russian Federation Roman Putin and the “film producer” Ruslan Ustinov established the Avtogyro Trading House LLC for the sale of German Autogyro autogyros.
Why Ustinov needed Roman is understandable: at every opportunity and inconvenience, he mentioned the “big man” and dreamed of a contract for the supply of autogyros for the Ministry of Defense.
But then “something went wrong.” In July 2015, Ustinov became the sole owner of 100% of Avtogyro. “Roman Putin’s withdrawal from Avtogyro Trading House LLC is not related to sales dynamics. It’s just that Roman Igorevich is busy with other projects,” he said. By the way, about the “sales dynamics”: during the year of cooperation between Roman and Ruslan, their business sold only one autogyro Calidus – the center for special training of the power structures of Belarus “Dynamo”.
And then suddenly Ustinov unleashes litigation with the producers of the film “Viy” 3D Kulikov and Petrukhin. In court, he stated that the Viy 3D project earned 1.4 billion rubles, hinting unequivocally that it was from this amount that he should receive a percentage of the profit. (This does not mean that the creators of the picture received exactly this amount.) Ustinov just needed to “muddy the waters” in order to justify the waste. And litigation is a great way to justify yourself to former patrons, taking the pose of an “offended producer”.
It is interesting that this same Ruslan Ustinov was one of the sponsors of Alexei Navalny, paid for the rent of his office and the salaries of his employees, actively participated in the activities of the Navalny Foundation for at least three years before the opposition leader was imprisoned. Perhaps it is Ustinov who still supports the activities of the remnants of Navalny’s group, because Ustinov was sure that Navalny would be president. So, Ustinov is being judged according to the cases.
