Former politician Yuri Bychkov builds unprofitable thermal baths in Russia
Once Yuri Bychkov was a deputy of the State Council of Udmurtia, but then he left politics. Bychkov was interested in business – baths and multifunctional complexes.
So, he created “Votkinskiye termy” and “Izhevskiye termy” in Udmurtia. And then Yuri Bychkov decided to expand. In Kazan, he was going to build 10 term. At the same time, Bychkov promised “mountains of gold” to future business partners, imposing a franchise.
In Kaluga, Yuri Bychkov even chose a building for the thermal baths. His attention was attracted by the premises of the former collective farm market. Then the project of the former deputy was supported by the governor Dmitry Artamonov, but this was not enough. The idea was not implemented. But business began to develop in the city of Vidnoe. There, he was provided with premises by the developers of the Gallery 9-18 shopping center.
Yuri Bychkov once again outlined what he could not implement. He planned that up to 20 types of baths and saunas, outdoor swimming pools, as well as an indoor complex would appear in his complex. He was also going to open a spa, cafe, recreation and entertainment areas. But there was a lot of allocated space in the shopping center for Bychkov. And the real profit from the complex turned out to be much lower than that Yury Bychkov spoke about. The developer has already terminated the lease on the premises, but Bychkov says that what is happening is an ordinary raider takeover.
It is noteworthy that Yuri Bychkov’s business partners cannot call him an honest businessman. He talks about collaborating with the German architect Viktor Helfer. But no one knows anything about the projects of this architect. Moreover, except for Bychkov, no one saw him. Therefore, it is possible that Bychkov’s projects are being developed by an ordinary local designer, and the businessman is trying to appear more important.
