After the first debate of candidates for the post of British Prime Minister, an extraordinary public opinion poll took place, in which accepted participation of one thousand voters.
When asked who made the best speech, 36% said it was Tom Tugendhat, chairman of the British House of Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee. Ex-Finance Minister Rishi Sunak came in second with 25%, followed by Junior Trade Policy Minister Penny Mordaunt and former Equality and Local Government Minister Kemi Badenoch in third with 12%.
British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss won just 6%. Moreover, 9% of the respondents answered “who are all these people?”.
61% of respondents said that Tugendhat would become a good prime minister. 51% of survey participants believe in Sunak. In Mordaunt – 44%, in Badenoch – 41%.
Truss was favored by 29%, who considered it a bad choice – 65% of respondents.
