Foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation and Belarus Sergei Lavrov and Sergei Aleinik considered topical issues of bilateral relations during a meeting in Minsk, a correspondent reports. DOPs with reference to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The message of the department says that an exchange of views took place on international and regional issues, the situation around the Ukrainian crisis. The focus was confirmed on coordinating steps on international platforms, countering political and illegal sanctions pressure on Russia and Belarus from unfriendly states.
In addition, during the conversation, the diplomats paid special attention to the task of providing diplomatic support for the implementation of the Allied programs in the field of economy and cooperation in the CIS.
Recall that these are Aleinik’s first talks after his appointment as head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
