Among those who appear in the video are the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Chechnya and the head of the department of the Russian Guard in the republic
A number of high-ranking Chechen politicians and security officials, following United Russia State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, recorded a video in which they promised to 'find and cut off the heads' of family members of the former federal judge Saidi Yangulbaev.
Among those who recorded a video message with a threat of massacre:
First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Chechnya Aslan Iraskhanov;
Sharip Delimkhanov, Head of the National Guard Department for Chechnya;
Acting Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Chechnya Alikhan Tsakaev;
First Deputy Chairman of the Chechen Government Isa Tumkhadzhiev;
Head of the Department of Internal Affairs for the city of Grozny Deni Aidamirov and others.
In the video, the men speak Chechen, the Russian translation was published by the 1ADAT 2 YouTube channel recognized as extremist in Russia.
'There is no other business than to find and cut off the heads [members of the Yangulbaev family], as well as the heads of those who support them.' Wherever they are, we will take the demand for their words! Day and night, we have no more important job than to find you and cut off your heads. With the permission of Allah!' Chechen civil servants said.
The day before, State Duma deputy from United Russia Adam Delimkhanov published an appeal in Chechen on his Instagram, in which he unequivocally threatened the Yangulbaev family with reprisal. He promised to pursue these people and cut off their heads. He also stressed that this is a blood feud. In addition, the deputy promised to cut off the heads of those who translate his appeal into Russian.
Let us recall that on January 20, unknown Chechens broke into the Nizhny Novgorod apartment of Saidi Yangulbayev, a retired judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya, who is the father of a former employee of the North Caucasian branch of the Committee against Torture, Abubakar Yangulbayev. They introduced themselves as officers of the Chechen police and abducted Yangulbaev’s wife, Zarema Musaeva. The Kremlin called the incident a 'fantastic story.' Saydi Yangulbaev left the country with his daughter.
After the incident, Kadyrov said that the ex-judge’s family 'is waiting for a place either in prison or underground.' The head of the republic also accused the Yangulbaev family of involvement in terrorist activities, therefore, in his words, if they resist, they should be 'destroyed' as accomplices of militants.
The Chechen authorities believe that the judge’s son Ibragim Yangulbaev is involved in the administration of the opposition telegram channel 1ADAT, which the republic’s authorities consider extremist. He spent about a year and a half in a pre-trial detention center, being tortured and beaten. His brother Abubakar, who worked for the Committee Against Torture (an organization recognized as a foreign agent by a decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation), was detained in Pyatigorsk in December and interrogated on the case of justifying terrorism.
