For the first time, the UK has detained a yacht that is associated with a Russian businessman who fell under sanctions. About whom exactly we are talking, it is not specified.
The cost of the Phi yacht is £38 million (about $49.8 million), reports Reuters. The ship was detained in the Canary Wharf area a few hours before it was supposed to leave London.
The yacht is directly owned by a company registered in the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis, and sails under the Maltese flag, but the ultimate owner is allegedly a Russian businessman. The length of the vessel is 58.5 meters. On board are a wine cellar and a fresh water pool.
