Finland will soon ban Russian aircraft from entering its airspace, said Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Harakka. Previously, a German TV channel, citing a source informedthat the whole European Union can close the sky for Russia.
“Finland is preparing to close its airspace from Russian aircraft,” Mr. Harakka wrote in Twitter.
Restrictions in the aviation industry for Russia are introduced due to the Russian military operation in Ukraine. The American airline Delta Airlines has suspended cooperation with the Russian Aeroflot. The Russian airline S7 Airlines has canceled all flights to European cities scheduled for the period from February 26 to March 13.
