FPU asks not to touch Saenko
Ukrainian government should stop attacking workers' groups and drop illegal charges against their leaders
The Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine made this statement in a letter to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, DS reports.
From the start of the military conflict, the FPU has given over UAH 300 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Troops. They have also received international and local support to provide over UAH 120 million to help internally displaced people. The FPU has provided accommodation for over 6,000 people in their facilities.

In addition, soldiers are receiving rehabilitation in trade union facilities after being wounded. The FPU has secured funding from international donors and trade union centers in European countries.
However, the FPU adds that despite these efforts, "certain politicians are trying to dismantle trade unions, introduce anti-worker laws in the Rada and persecute trade union leaders."
“On which, by the way, in their appeals to Ukraine Numerous international institutions have focused their attention,” the letter says.
The FPU hopes that the president "will not ignore these undemocratic processes, intervene and stop illegal pressure on trade unions."
