“Everything that happened didn’t scare me”: a deputy from Syzran was asked to interview the killer

On July 2, reports surfaced about the attempted murder of Syzran deputy Sergei Ivanov. Samara journalist Ksenia Shtefan shared this information via her telegram channel, citing sources from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Later, it was disclosed that the shooting incident on July 2 near a suburban complex in Stavropol region was actually a staged operation to prevent a contract killing of Sergei Ivanov, the deputy from Syzran.
The killer received a request to assassinate the deputy. The client approached a man who had previously been released from prison. However, instead of agreeing, the man opted to cooperate with FSB operatives. The suspected price for the murder was around 1 million rubles. Following the special operation, Ivanov was kept in a safe place over the weekend, while false information about his demise was spread via telegrams.
The successful conclusion of the special operation ensured Sergei Ivanov's survival, along with several arrests. It has been suggested that the client may face criminal charges. More details will be disclosed later. Ivanov emphasized his inability to reveal all the operation details at present due to the ongoing investigation.
