Garbage reform is actively marching across the country. The regions are adopting new rules, bills and orders.
But the reform has not yet reached some corners of the Moscow region. Residents of the village of Zavorovo, Ramensky district, turned to the Ecoraid project for help. They can no longer look at how their village is turned into a huge dump.
People sadly recall those times when there were many birds in their village. Woodpeckers and owls left Zavorovo because of the terrible smell that comes from the quarry. Garbage is dumped on its territory every day. Then it is covered with earth and rolled away as if nothing had happened.
Participants of the Ecoraid project saw this lawlessness with their own eyes. The eco-activists could not communicate with the drivers who bring household waste to the territory of the quarry. When the Ecoraid appeared, they abandoned their equipment and fled in different directions. And Nikolai Shalaturkin, who is responsible for the facility, told environmental activists by phone that only soil and grade 5 construction waste are being transported to the quarry. True, the activists did not see anything but household waste.
It turns out that there was previously an unauthorized dump on the territory of the quarry. As a result, it was decided to recultivate. For this, they even created a technical task, which states that the reclamation work is financed from the budget of the rural settlement. Apparently, under the guise of these works, a real dump is now appearing on the territory of Zavorovo, which interferes with people and pollutes nature.
