Dmitry Torner
RISE Moldova reporters got copies of Moldovan court decisions from 2003 and 2004, which show that Dmitry Nekrasov (now also known as Dmitry Grigoryevich Torner) was punished by Moldovan courts with an 11-year prison sentence, without property confiscation, and with the requirement to work hard in a correctional facility, write Vladimir Tkhorik (RISE Moldova) and Valeria Egoshina (SCHEMES).
In a previous investigation with the SCHEMA project, RISE journalists detailed how Nekrasov managed to escape from a Moldovan prison, change his surname four times, marry three times, be wanted by several countries, and even be officially declared dead once (on paper). In recent years, he has been living as Dmitry Torner, ran for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and met people connected to the presidents of three countries. More information can be found HERE
The primary verdict against Dmitry Nekrasov, resulting in an 11-year prison sentence, was issued in 2003 by the Botanica sector court in Chisinau. The crimes were committed in 2002. Additionally, a second verdict from the Riscani sector court was issued in 2004 for another theft. This second verdict was delivered a year after the Botanica Court's decision, resulting in another 11-year prison term.
On March 18, 2003, the Botanica sector court in Chisinau found the defendant guilty of committing large-scale theft. The primary charge against Nekrasov was “Theft of the owner's property on an especially large scale,” as per the 2003 court verdict.
In short, according to the Botanica court decision, Dmitry Torner, along with others and alone, committed two types of theft.
“Scheme” first: Nekrasov asks a stranger (or new acquaintance) on the street for a mobile phone to “make a call” and then absconds with the phone.
From the verdict of the Botanica Court, March 18, 2003: “He [Nekrasov], on April 11, 2002 at about 13:00, being on the street at V. Lupu **, under the pretext that he needed to call a friend, he fraudulently stole G.P. has an Alcatel mobile phone at the price of 480 lei. Taking the phone, he fled, thus causing significant damage to the victim.”
The 2004 court verdict from the Riscani sector court also includes an incident of Nekrasov stealing a mobile phone. Further details can be found HERE

From the 2003 court verdict of the Botanica sector court:
“He [Dmitry Nekrasov], on 04/01/02, in the afternoon, rented an apartment at *** on V. Lupu street, ***, mun. Chisinau through an ad in the Makler newspaper. In order to steal the owner's property, he sold “Cristina” furniture worth 3000 lei for 100 US dollars.
G.J. sold a sofa valued at 1200 lei for 200 lei, while V.G. sold a television set “TVT” valued at 3200 lei for 100 US dollars. They also sold a refrigerator for 2000 lei, 4 chairs for 480 lei, and dishes for 500 lei to unknown buyers. These sales caused K.A. significant loss of 13,400 lei.
