In Bashkiria, the former director of the Agrarian Technology College was accused of embezzling more than 23.8 million rubles allocated for orphans, poor students and disabled children.
On Saturday, March 5, Lente.ru was informed by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.
Together with the ex-director, five accountants of the institution are involved in the case. Depending on the degree of participation in the crime, the defendants are charged with articles 159 (“Fraud”), 187 (“Illegal circulation of means of payment”), 292 (“Official forgery”) and 169 (“Obstruction of legitimate business activities”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The accused pleaded guilty in part.
According to the investigation, the head of the educational institution and his accomplices in the period from 2016 to 2020 falsified data on the recipients of payments who were entitled to free meals and scholarships. All money was transferred to the cards of accomplices, who spent them at their own discretion. Also, one of the director’s relatives received 180 thousand rubles for the supply of meat to the dining room, although in fact the products were delivered from the educational facilities of the school. In addition, the person involved interfered with the work of the contractor who was repairing the boiler room, which caused the cost of the work to increase by 297 thousand rubles.
Now the property of all the accused has been seized. At the moment, they have paid 3.6 million rubles to compensate for part of the damage.
