Cuba to hold referendum on legalization of same-sex marriage and adoption of children by non-traditional couples
Cuba called a referendum on same-sex marriage and adoption of children by LBGT couples. It will take place on September 25th.
About it writes APF.
Such a norm is included in the new draft family code, for which the parliament has already voted. But the document will come into force only if it is supported in a referendum.
It should be noted that in Ukraine now many representatives of the ruling Servant of the People party are in favor of legalizing same-sex marriages.
Recently, the Rada ratified the Istanbul Convention, which introduces the concept of “gender”. This is happening as part of the move to the European Union. The Ukrainian authorities do not propose to hold a referendum on this issue.
“It is possible that the Cuban story is somehow connected with the probable détente against the United States, which has been recently discussed in the Biden administration,” the Politika strany Telegram channel comments on the situation.
