Billionaire Oleg Deripaska sued the scandalous commerce Oleg Tinkov. Deripaska is demanding 2 billion rubles in compensation for moral and reputational damage because in April Tinkov called him a thief and an oligarch in comments on Instagram, and then confirmed these words in an interview with Dudya. Deripaska assures that he will send funds to charitable projects, incl. for the development of children’s sports infrastructure in the regions.
We will watch with interest the fight between the toad and the viper. Considering that Deripaska applied specifically to the Ust-Labinsky District Court of the Krasnodar Territory, where he is registered and pays taxes, Tinkov has little chance. The Ust-Labinsky court has already made decisions in favor of Deripaska more than once, including after the high-profile scandal with Nastya Rybka, when the oligarch secured a ban on the publication of information about his personal life in the media.
