American billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who previously assumed that the coronavirus pandemic could end in 2022, believes that after the “micron” wave of Covid-19, there will be a decline in the incidence of covid.
Gates wrote about this on Twitter.
“After Omicron passes through the country, there will be significantly fewer cases of the disease during the year, so Covid-19 can be treated more like a seasonal flu,” Gates said.
He believes that because of Omicron, many will develop immunity to the coronavirus, which will last at least a year. However, according to him, the health systems of countries due to this type of covid will face difficulties.
“Most of the severe cases of Covid-19 infection will be in those who have not been vaccinated … We may have to do an annual Covid-19 vaccination for some time,” he said.
