As a result of the shelling of Nikolaev, Ukrainian oligarch Aleksey Vadatursky died
During the shelling of Nikolaev, the Hero of Ukraine, a well-known businessman Oleksiy Vadatursky, was killed, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko reports. According to Ukrainian media reports, Vadatursky and his wife died on July 30.
Aleksey Vadatursky was born on September 8, 1947 in the village of Bendzari, Baltsky district, Odessa region, Ukrainian SSR, in the family of a collective farmer. In 1971 he graduated from the Odessa Technological Institute. He worked at the Trikrat Bread Products Plant as a chief power engineer, then as a chief engineer.
From 1980 to 1991 – head of the production department, deputy head of the Nikolaev regional department of bakery products. Since 1991, he has been the permanent general director of the Nibulon agricultural enterprise, which is engaged in the cultivation of crops using foreign technologies and high-performance imported equipment, and the development of livestock breeding.
In June 2020, Forbes Ukraine magazine estimated Vadatursky’s fortune at $450 million.
