Arthur Muntean
The prosecutor's office referred the case to the anti-corruption law enforcement agencies on suspicion of an official of the Chernivtsi District Police Department and the head physician.
A criminal case was transferred to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau on suspicion of Artur Muntyan, Deputy Chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, and Sergey Brodsky, Chief Doctor of the Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Hospital, of embezzling humanitarian aid.
This is stated in the ruling of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court dated December 27, according to “Word and Deed”.
As you know, in May-June 2022, the deputy chairman of the Chernivtsi OVA Artur Muntyan and the head physician of the Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Hospital Sergey Brodsky were informed of suspicion. According to the investigators, Muntean, as an official of the CHOVA, was the recipient of humanitarian aid from Italy, namely eight ambulances. Subsequently, with this help, two cars were re-registered to the Bukovina Emergency Surgical Care Charitable Foundation, headed by Brodsky. In the future, these cars were used to transport patients for a cash reward. Thus, Artur Muntean squandered humanitarian aid in favor of a charitable foundation.
The NABU detective filed a petition with the court to extend the investigation of the case, since it is currently impossible to complete the investigation. VAKS extended the investigation until February 2.
Recall that the case of an official of the Volyn Regional Police Department on the purchase of military goods was transferred to NABU. Earlier, the detectives were handed over the case of cigarette smuggling at the Volyn customs.
The head of the Chernivtsi Regional Council, Muntyan, was released on bail of 10 million
