EU countries intend to close their airspace to Russian aircraft, informed German TV channel ARD.
Earlier, a number of countries closed the skies to Russian aircraft in protest against the military operation in Ukraine. Among them are Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Poland and the Czech Republic. Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are also planning to do this. The UK has closed airspace to Aeroflot and private Russian jets.
Earlier, the EU authorities decided to completely ban the supply and leasing of aircraft, helicopters and other aircraft in the Russian Federation, as well as their insurance and maintenance.
