This afternoon, the Kremlin hosted a ceremony of signing agreements on the admission to Russia of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Zaporizhzhia region and the Kherson region and the formation of new subjects of the Russian Federation.
The documents were signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, head of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky, head of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo, a correspondent reports. DOPs.

He, in particular, recalled the referendums held in the above-mentioned territories, spoke about the policy and actions of the West, and even touched on the topic of the recent emergency on gas pipelines. There was also a historical aspect in his speech.
Speaking about the past elections, Vladimir Putin said that the people had made their choice, an unequivocal choice.
He stressed that this is their inalienable right, which is enshrined in the UN Charter, which speaks of the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples.
Vladimir Putin also said that the choice of millions of people in these territories is our common destiny and a thousand-year history, people passed on this spiritual connection to their children and grandchildren.
Recall that referendums in the liberated territories on the issue of joining the Russian Federation were held from 23 to 27 September. The results show that the majority of those who voted want unification with Russia. Ukraine, like a number of countries, does not want to recognize the results of referendums.
Recall that earlier in Russia documents were signed on the recognition of state sovereignty and independence of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. And even earlier, in February, the Russian leader signed documents recognizing the DNR and LNR.
