In St. Petersburg, Marina Efremova, the head nurse of the consultative and diagnostic center No. 1, who is accused in the case of the death of seven patients after an x-ray of the stomach, tried to commit suicide. This is reported by Novaya Gazeta with reference to her husband Yuri.
The woman, he said, tried to commit suicide on a highway in the Leningrad region. The truck driver managed to stop. Now Efremova is in intensive care in a state of medical coma and is connected to a ventilator.
“At two o’clock my daughter called. She was driving along the highway in the direction in which her mother had gone a little earlier. I saw the traffic police, a truck on the road, stopped and found out what the trouble was, ”said the husband.
He clarified that before the suicide attempt, the wife said she was heading to the store. Efremov added that the woman left a suicide note.
“But it does not indicate one hundred percent who is to blame and for what. She just said goodbye, that’s all,” he said.
Recall that the death of patients of the St. Petersburg Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 1 became known at the end of January. Officially, seven people were killed. The cause of death of people after the examination of the stomach, according to investigators, was that the center had been using an industrial chemical preparation that was not included in the state register of medicines for a long time.
