The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Russian side is committed to a food deal. The official representative of the Ministry, Maria Zakharova, spoke on this topic. Her comment published on the website Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, according to a correspondent DOPs.
“According to available information, Westerners do not intend to be content with declarative statements, but are planning provocative actions in order to denigrate Russia in the eyes of the world community. In particular, a media story is being prepared that Moscow is allegedly dissatisfied with the results of a food deal for the sea supply of Ukrainian grain and is preparing a sabotage against one of the commercial ships,” the diplomat said.
Against this background, she also stated that the Russian parties are fully committed to the agreement concluded in Istanbul on the safe transportation of grain and food from the ports of Ukraine.
We are talking about a deal concluded this summer.
Then, in particular, reportedthat the head of the Russian Defense Ministry took part in the signing of documents in Istanbul on lifting restrictions on the supply of domestic products for export and on Russia’s assistance in the export of Ukrainian grain.
