The Federation Council submitted a draft law on the use of alternative types of gas for more efficient gasification of Russian regions for consideration by the government, a correspondent reports. DOPs with reference to the press service of the Federation Council.
The document was developed by Andrey Kutepov, head of the Federation Council committee on economic policy.
As alternative types of gas, it is proposed to use liquefied hydrocarbon gases, liquefied natural gas, compressed natural gas.
As follows from the explanatory note, the use of alternative types of gas will make it possible to use the federal and local budgets more efficiently when gasifying remote regions of Russia.
Gasification of hard-to-reach regions of Russia, where gas distribution networks are not developed, using natural gas is not economically feasible, the document says.
