The decision to exclude Renault from the list of brands whose products are available for parallel imports was announced by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
On the official Internet portal of legal information a document appearedregarding this list, reports the correspondent DOPs.
We are talking about the order of the department dated July 21, 2022 No. 3042 “On amendments to the List of goods (groups of goods) in respect of which the provisions of subparagraph 6 of Article 1359 and Article 1487 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation do not apply, subject to the introduction of these goods (groups of goods) into circulation outside the territory of the Russian Federation by the right holders (patent holders), as well as with their consent, approved by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation dated April 19, 2022 No. 1532.
And in the telegram channel of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia explainedthat the Renault brand was removed from the list of parallel imports, since JSC AVTOVAZ assumed obligations to provide warranty service for the brand, including the sale of spare parts.
Recall that in the spring, agreements were signed on the transfer of Russian assets of the Renault Group to the Russian Federation and the Government of the capital of the Russian Federation.
They provided for the transfer of 100% of the shares of Renault Russia to the city of Moscow and 67.69% of the shares of AVTOVAZ to the state.
“An important condition is the option for Renault to buy back its stake in AVTOVAZ, which can be exercised over the next 6 years. Both transactions were approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia,” clarified in the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
