Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Vladimir Tokarev, who was arrested in the case of fraud, does not admit his guilt.
This was reported to RT in the PMC of Moscow. According to the human rights activist, Tokarev is being held in a ten-bed cell, his neighbors are former law enforcement officers.
“Tokarev said that he did not admit guilt, and the criminal case itself relates to the events of 2016, at that time he was not yet an official,” said one of the commission members who visited him in SIZO No. 4 in Moscow.
According to the interlocutor of RT, Tokarev is being held in a ten-seat cell along with former law enforcement officers.
“He himself worked as an investigator in 2000-2001, therefore, in accordance with the law, he must be kept with former law enforcement officers,” the human rights activist explained.
When visiting the cell, members of the PMC noticed dim lighting due to the fact that two of the four ceiling lamps had been dismantled. Also, the floor boards under the sink are rotten and need to be replaced. At the same time, the cell has a TV and a refrigerator.
“The deputy minister himself said that he has no complaints about the conditions of detention, but claims that he has a disease that is treated only in two clinics in the country, and only there, under the supervision of doctors, patients take medicine, and he will not be able to receive treatment in a pre-trial detention center,” he said. member of the ONC.
According to Tokarev, the relevant medical documents were presented at the court on the choice of a measure of restraint, but the court decided that the disease had not yet reached the stage that, according to regulatory enactments, prevents detention.
