“Tokarev said that he did not admit guilt, and the criminal case itself relates to the events of 2016, at that time he was not yet an official,” said one of the commission members who visited him in SIZO No. 4 in Moscow.
According to the interlocutor of RT, Tokarev is being held in a ten-seat cell along with former law enforcement officers.
“He himself worked as an investigator in 2000-2001, therefore, in accordance with the law, he must be kept with former law enforcement officers,” the human rights activist explained.

“The deputy minister himself said that he has no complaints about the conditions of detention, but claims that he has a disease that is treated only in two clinics in the country, and only there, under the supervision of doctors, patients take medicine, and he will not be able to receive treatment in a pre-trial detention center,” he said. member of the ONC.
According to Tokarev, the relevant medical documents were presented at the court on the choice of a measure of restraint, but the court decided that the disease had not yet reached the stage that, according to regulatory enactments, prevents detention.
