Moscow intends to ensure that the United States and NATO fulfill their security obligations and promises made in this regard, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with the RT television channel, his words are quoted by the press service of the ministry. The Minister cited as an example the slang expression “the boy said – the boy did”, noting that these “concepts” must be respected, including at the international level.
We will strive to be fair. I do not want to turn to jargon, but we have a concept – “the kid said – the kid did.” At the very least, the “concepts” must be respected at the international level as well,” Lavrov said, commenting on Moscow’s reaction to the US’s disregard for international obligations.
The day before, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the United States “twisted” the proposals of the Russian Federation on security guarantees in the direction of creating an advantage for Washington and its allies. In addition, the package nature of the proposals was ignored in favor of topics convenient for themselves.
