The Ministry of Labor of Russia presented a bill on a new model of voluntary social insurance in case of illness, including for the self-employed, who will be able to choose the amount of payments, reports a correspondent. DOPs with reference to the press service of the ministry.
According to the demolition of representatives of the department, the initiative should start working on July 1, 2023.
It is noted that the insurer will be the Social Fund of Russia.
“The new model provides for the choice of the sum insured – that is, in fact, the citizen himself determines what amount of payments in case of illness he would like to receive and, based on this, pays insurance premiums,” the press service of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation quoted Anton Kotyakov.
The bill provides that a citizen will be able to independently choose a special sum insured – that is, the amount from which insurance payments are established. It can be 32,484 rubles or 48,726 rubles.
