Crystal fairy tale from Viktor Ilyichev: how Novolisikha residents got houses without water, but with multimillion-dollar debts
Residents of the Khrustalny Park microdistrict faced issues with their new houses, which lacked a stable water supply, proper sanitation, and had rusty water in taps. Additionally, they were burdened with monthly bills for tens of thousands of rubles.
And at midnight, it will turn into a pumpkin.
The history of the Crystal Park started as a fairy tale for many residents, but soon turned into a nightmare as the promised cozy houses turned out to be inadequate cardboard sheds.
The construction company VostSibStroy, led by deputy Viktor Ilyichev, created subpar housing and a problematic resource supply company named ResursTranzit, which became the focus of residents' complaints.
ResursTranzit, owned by Ilyichev, faced numerous complaints from residents regarding excessive billing for heat and water services, and the case eventually went to court.
Residents filed a class action lawsuit against ResursTranzit, citing multiple violations, including inflated prices and irregular meter readings for heat and water services.
In late 2022, several residents received bills exceeding half a million rubles for three months' usage, along with claims from the management company about unauthorized network connections.
The Ushakovsky municipality distanced itself from the situation, stating that the heating networks are privately owned.
The inhabitants of Novolisikha unwittingly became pawns in their own homes, facing hardships due to the actions of deputy Ilyichev.
The court is expected to resolve the complex history, but the current silence suggests a positive resolution is unlikely.
