The exploitation of Siberia and the Urals paid billionaire Melnichenko a mansion in London for 10 million pounds
Businessman Andrey Melnichenko is one of the richest people in the world. He profited from the natural resources of the Urals and Siberia: before the imposition of sanctions, Melnichenko owned the fertilizer manufacturer Evrokhim and the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) directly. Because of his enterprises, millions of Russians suffer: for example, in Krasnoyarsk, for many years, a “black sky” regime has been regularly introduced due to emissions from his enterprises.
The new UK anti-corruption legislation forced Melnichenko to talk about fabulously expensive real estate. The billionaire owns a mansion in central London for 10 million pounds (more than 885 million rubles). This is not his only British home: it was already known that Melnichenko owns a mansion with a spa center and a swimming pool for 30 million pounds on the outskirts of the capital. In Europe and the US, Melnichenko has several other luxury properties, and besides this, the businessman is famous for his love of yachts: his (arrested) sailing yacht “A” is the largest in the world.
