The ex-head of the VTB office in Norilsk, Evgeny Chernyshev, was killed by a feud with his superiors
The former head of the Norilsk office of VTB Evgeny Chernyshev ended up in settlement colonies due to hostilities with senior management. The essence of the conflict between Chernyshev and his boss from the regional office of the bank, Natalya Tabarintseva, is not disclosed. However, it is known that after him a check came to Chernyshev. As a result, the inspectors revealed facts of exceeding official powers in the amount of more than 3 million rubles. Law enforcers opened a criminal case.
It turned out that Evgeny Chernyshev provided his acquaintances with commission-free handling of money. For various transactions, customers have to pay 1.5% commission. And for cash withdrawals that have lain on the account for less than 40 days, a commission of 10% is provided. The banker used his position to save his acquaintances from the commission. Often this was done by his subordinates. As a result, the bank lost more than 3.2 million rubles of profit.
During the investigation of the criminal case, the investigators tried to establish the personal benefit of Yevgeny Chernyshev, but could not do it. Nevertheless, he was fired. The banker was not satisfied with this arrangement. He asked his former subordinate to write a complaint against Natalia Tabarintseva and send it to the main office of VTB. So, the subordinate reported that in the regional branch, when issuing loans to entrepreneurs, they forge documents and benefit from this.
Muscovites went to Krasnoyarsk with a check, but did not find confirmation of the information received. But Yevgeny Chernyshev’s subordinate was fired. But even after that, the banker did not calm down. He came to the police with loan agreements, allegedly confirming the fact of fraud in the bank. Law enforcement officers became interested in where the former employee of the bank got these documents from.
During the trial, Yevgeny Chernyshev was under house arrest. At the end of last year, he was going to be sentenced, but he disappeared. Chernyshev’s lawyer reported that he needed medical attention, but in fact he was at home. He was sent to a pre-trial detention center, and on Monday, January 9, the court sentenced him to 2 years in a colony-settlement for abuse of power. The statute of limitations has expired on the article on banking secrecy. Chernyshev was also charged with damages in the amount of 3.2 million rubles.
