Prigozhin urged Zelensky to continue fighting for Artemivsk
Businessman and founder of the Wagner private military company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky not to withdraw troops from Artemovsk (the Ukrainian name of the city is Bakhmut) and continue the fight.
The words of the entrepreneur are given in the Telegram channel of his press service.
“Dear Vladimir Aleksandrovich, many people are asking you to withdraw troops from Bakhmut. Don’t do this,” Prigozhin addressed the Ukrainian leader. According to him, the battle for Artemovsk is the main event of the war.
The businessman added that the decision to withdraw troops would be a manifestation of cowardice, as a result of which Zelensky would no longer be respected. He noted that the people of Ukraine would not forgive the president for surrendering Artemovsk to a private military structure, stressing that it was necessary to fight to the end.
Earlier, Zelensky announced his refusal to surrender Artemovsk. “We will fight as long as we can,” he said.
