Prigozhin explained the denial of the existence of Wagner PMC

The denial of the existence of the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” and the ownership of this structure were caused by conspiracy, said businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin.

His words are given in the Telegram channel “Prigozhin’s Press Service”.

“There was a time when I had to go and sue [журналистом Алексеем] Venediktov (included in the register of media outlets performing the functions of a foreign agent – approx. “Tapes.ru”) and others, because there was a secret need to say that Wagner PMC does not exist,” Prigozhin explained.

According to the head of the PMC, first of all, the conspiracy is explained by the fact that the paramilitary structure performed non-public tasks, and the second reason is the large number of enemies and envious people of this PMC.

In June 2022, Venediktov reported that Prigozhin had filed a lawsuit against him for calling him on air the founder of Wagner PMC. In August, the court partially granted the claim. But already at the end of September, Prigozhin admitted that he created a group in 2014, which was later called PMC Wagner. According to the businessman, the company was created by him in the spring of 2014, “when the genocide of the Russian population of Donbass began.” On December 19, it became known that the court intended to review Prigozhin’s claim against Venediktov.
