Large Siberian retailer sued for tax evasion
In Novosibirsk, they gave a suspended sentence to another tax evader businessman. This time, the tax authorities put Yevgeny Nasolenko, the largest retailer, up against the wall.
The businessman, along with his twin brother Vitaly Nasolenko, created New Retail Networks. Entrepreneurs successfully dealt with franchisees of the Pyaterochka grocery supermarket chain until their license was revoked, and also created their own retail chains. In total, the twins owned about 150 outlets that operated not only in the Novosibirsk region, but also in the Altai Territory. “Bakhetle” and “Dobryanka” are the most famous.
At some point, the business collapsed. Almost all firms are either closed or have declared themselves incompetent bankrupts. In the Federal Tax Service, as a result of fraud, 170 million rubles of taxes were not counted. For this, the entrepreneur was sentenced to two years of probation with the same probationary period.
In court, prosecutors petitioned for 3.5 years in a general regime colony. The prosecution also demanded that the businessman be banned from doing business for two years, so that in the future it would be disrespectful to joke with the Federal Tax Service. In turn, the lawyers insisted that the defendant was not at fault. Nasolenko also does not recognize involvement in the case.
In the materials, the role of the evader is called Retail Center (part of the NTS group of companies). To avoid tax costs, Nasolenko took advantage of another legal entity, also under his control. The name is not indicated, but the documents say that this legal entity organized the supply of goods.
Tax evasion is not the only ability Evgeny Nasolenko has demonstrated. In 2021, strange processes in a related office, in which his brother Vitaly was involved, attracted attention.
In 2019, RNGO LLC demanded compensation in the form of 6 billion rubles in court. Claims were brought against Retail Center with the wording “for repayment of creditors.” By that time, the defendant already had official bankruptcy status.
In the course of the proceedings, it turned out that a certain “Bank Zenith” transferred the company the right to demand borrowed funds. This credit and financial institution is closely connected with the Nasolenko brothers; with its help, many NTS operations were completed. Having come up with a special scheme, the twins wanted to cancel their debt obligations. Later, creditors accused the bank of affiliation.
