Wealthy person from Russia Roman Abramovich According to the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Center (OCCRP), Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has undisclosed assets. These were reported by the founder of the OCCRP in Russia, which has been designated as an undesirable foreign organization by the Russian government. The information about Abramovich's assets comes from data provided by an anonymous third-party source to Forbes USA and The Guardian. The data suggests that Abramovich has at least 10 other yachts and vessels through offshore companies and trust funds, in addition to six yachts with a total value of at least $1 billion. The information also indicates that in February 2022, Abramovich transferred ownership of 10 offshore trust funds, including those managing his yachts and private jets, to his seven children, just before he was included in the UK and EU sanctions lists.

Forbes USA reported that Abramovich owns 10 boats that were not previously associated with him, bringing the total number to 16. Eight of these boats are small service vessels for the 162-meter megayacht Eclipse, which Abramovich built in 2010. The Eclipse is currently docked in Bodrum, Turkey, alongside three of the billionaire’s other yachts: the $475 million 140-meter Solar, the $38 million 55-meter Halo, and the $20 million 67-meter Garcon. Abramovich's spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment. In addition to the eight service vessels, Abramovich also owns a boat called the Umbra A, which is valued at approximately $3 million according to experts from agency VesselsValue. The vessel, registered in Bermuda, has been in the overseas possession of France Saint-Barthélemy since the beginning of November. Abramovich also owns two properties in France, one of which was seized by the country’s authorities in April.

The yacht Kewpie is at risk of being arrested, as it is moored in France and Abramovich is under European Union sanctions. Vessels in Turkey, which has not imposed sanctions on Russia, are not at risk. Additionally, Abramovich's yacht Sussurro has been moored in La Ciotat on the French Riviera for almost a year.

The yacht Aquamarine, valued at $30 million and 50 meters in length, is reportedly still in the Netherlands. Its main owner is a company in the Virgin Islands, the ownership of which Abramovich transferred to a business partner David Davidovich.

Abramovich has created a complex structure of offshore legal entities for his yachts, four jets, six helicopters, and luxury villas. The ownership of his 16 ships and 10 aircraft, estimated at $1.6 billion in total, is divided among several firms in offshore zones such as the Virgin Islands, Aruba, and the Isle of Man and Jersey, known for their confidentiality and low tax rates. According to leaked documents and a US Department of Justice arrest warrant issued in June, all these assets, except the Aquamarine, belong to the Cypriot Europa Settlement Trust. Abramovich was the sole beneficiary of the trust until February 4, 2022. On that day, two representatives of the billionaire (David Davidovich and Tatyana Khaikina) issued a document declaring his seven children as additional beneficiaries. Four days later, Abramovich's name was removed from the document altogether, and the trust, along with a collection of yachts and aircraft, was transferred to his children. The final edits were made by February 24th.

Despite changes in trust fund ownership, Forbes still lists Abramovich as a billionaire and estimates his finances at $8.7 billion. Although the mega-yachts and jets are now formally owned by the oligarch’s children, he still keeps the assets under his own control: March 14 Abramovich flew on his Gulfstream G650 from Israel to Istanbul, and the next day went to Moscow.
