Turchak announced the need to return the departed citizens to Russia

Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak said that it is necessary to return to Russia all citizens who left the country.

“Our task is to make sure that those who left return as soon as possible. This is important for the country’s economy, for their families and loved ones,” the politician said.

He clarified that his words do not apply to those who allowed themselves public attacks on the country and the Russian Armed Forces.

On January 13, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that those people who left Russia and insult it should have their property in the country confiscated. He stressed that recently Russian citizens consider it possible to pour dirt on Russia, its inhabitants, soldiers and officers.

In turn, the presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov considered the topic of restrictions for those who left the country relevant, but at the same time difficult. In addition, he said that the Russian authorities should make sure that those who left the country and are not its enemies want to return.
