The issue of the appearance of fake messages in the Western media may be considered by the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption.
State Duma deputy Adalbi Shkhagoshev spoke about this, RIA Novosti reports.
“In the last convocation, they (similar issues – approx. Lenta.ru) were discussed in the commission on interference in the affairs of the Russian Federation from outside, now we can study such “tricks” at the committee on security and combating corruption,” the politician said. Thus, he did not rule out that the committee would want to consider and discuss the recent fakes in the foreign media that appeared against the backdrop of global tensions.
On February 5, State Duma deputy Dmitry Belik called the publications in the German newspaper Bild, which report on Russia’s alleged “plans for an invasion” of Ukraine, a means of information warfare. He also stated that they lead to the escalation of world tension. The Russian Embassy in Germany considered the materials “a strange mixture of speculation and rumors” and refused to comment on this in any way.
The material of the publication tells about the “plans of the Russian leadership to invade Ukraine and establish a puppet government.” The result of such a “plan” should be the entry of Ukraine into the Union State, then a referendum on joining Russia and the creation of a system of camps for dissenting residents.
