The State Duma urged to send “all youth” for six months to military training
Member of the Defense Committee of the State Duma of Russia, Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev called for the introduction of mandatory military training for 6 months for Russian youth.
He reported this to NSN.
According to Sobolev, there are not enough reservists for the war to confront NATO, so “100 percent of young people” need to be trained in military specialties.
“We don’t have a trained mobilization reserve for waging a large-scale war, if NATO unleashes it. One out of ten served in the army, and nine out of ten did not serve in the army. What kind of reserve will they make? the soldier doubted. Training sessions and training of young people should be carried out in the DOSAAF system, he stressed.
The specialty can be obtained in six months, Sobolev assured.
