Dmitry Sergeyev, the son of the former Minister of Defense and the only Marshal of Russia Igor Sergeyev, beat his girlfriend, who was 30 weeks pregnant, in the Moscow region.

According to the publication, a 30-year-old Russian woman turned to the police with a statement about the beating back in March. She explained to the operatives that she had a close relationship with the official’s son. She and Sergeyev raised a common child.
The Russian woman indicated that the man attacked her in their house in the Odintsovo urban district. After the incident, the woman was left with numerous bruises and abrasions.
The alleged attacker was called to the police. During interrogation, the man denied everything and emphasized that he did not touch his pregnant girlfriend. In April, the woman moved out from Sergeev and was hospitalized with the threat of premature birth.
Igor Sergeyev headed the Ministry of Defense from May 1997 to March 2001. In 1997, for the first time in modern history, he was awarded the title of Marshal of the Russian Federation. The title was established by decree of the then President Boris Yeltsin on February 11, 1993.
