The Russian Foreign Ministry accused the United States of training the Ukrainian “IT-army”

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Oleg Syromolotov in an interview accused the United States of actively conducting operations against Russia in the information space.

According to him, Washington is recruiting hackers, and also trains the Ukrainian “IT army”.

“It is significant that the United States is putting into practice its aggressive doctrines,” he said.

The diplomat noted that the United States no longer even hides the facts of conducting operations against Russia in cyberspace. He added that cases of recruitment of hackers by Washington have become more frequent, and the training of the Ukrainian “IT army” has also intensified. Syromolotov specified that the US is using the information and communication technologies of its allies and private companies in an attempt to attack Russia’s information infrastructure.

The Deputy Foreign Minister said that by his actions, Washington seeks to militarize the information space, unleashing a cyber war and trying to conform to this international law.

Earlier, Syromolotov said that the exercises organized by the UK under the auspices of NATO are simulating cyber attacks on state institutions in the Kaliningrad region and the Moscow energy system.
