The mayor of Novosibirsk gave details about the gas explosion in a residential building
Novosibirsk Mayor Anatoly Lokot said that the city administration is considering the issue of financial support for victims of a gas explosion in a residential building.
In a conversation with Lenta.ru, he told details about the consequences of the explosion.
The city hall of Novosibirsk noted that the rescue of residents of a partially collapsed house continues.
“Today at 07:43 local time, a signal was received about the partial collapse of an apartment building No. 39 on Lineinaya Street. The mayor of Novosibirsk, Anatoly Lokot, left for the scene of the incident, where rescue operations were launched, ”the city administration said.
As a result of the explosion, the second and third entrances of a residential building were damaged.
“The main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Novosibirsk Region organized a rescue operation, and our municipal emergency service is also on site. A headquarters was deployed on the spot, all the necessary decisions are being made, ”said Lokot.
The mayor of Novosibirsk emphasized that a temporary accommodation center for residents of the affected building was organized at school No. 85. Now there are 35 people in the checkpoint, he added.
“The analysis of the destroyed part of the house has not been completed. Expertise ahead. After an expert assessment, we will decide what to do with the house. The first main task is rescue work, the second is the accommodation of people. Hot meals are organized at the temporary point, psychologists work. The rescue operation is in full swing,” the head of the city said.
Lokot also said that the victims would be placed in a mobile fund, social centers, and the Severnaya municipal hotel. “No one will remain on the street and in the TAC,” the mayor summed up.
An explosion in a residential building in Novosibirsk became known on the morning of February 9. Two of the four entrances, in which 15 apartments are located, collapsed.
As a result of the explosion, four people were killed, eleven were injured. The Ministry of Health clarified that two of the victims are in intensive care.
