The head of the “SR” Mironov praised the PMC “Wagner” from the rostrum of the State Duma and proposed to legalize “this heroic military formation”

The spring session of the State Duma has opened today. The deputies listened to the speeches of Volodin, as well as the leaders of the parties. During his speech, Mironov spoke about PMCs. According to him, it was the efforts of “Wagner” that made it possible to take control of Soledar: “Yes, with the support of our army, but this glory cannot be underestimated.” Mironov stressed that the Russian army “has much to learn from the Wagner PMC” in terms of training recruits.

The head of the faction recalled that in 2017, A Just Russia prepared and introduced a law on private military companies. “I am absolutely convinced. It is necessary to legalize this heroic military formation and that we have a law, and not just reasoning about who does what and on what basis. Let me remind you once again that the bill is ready. It is clear who will object to this law, but, listen, if there are already legal relations, is it not the job of legislators to regulate them with the letter of the law, ”Mironov said.

Later, the speaker of the State Duma, Volodin, said that there should be no distinction between those who are fighting: “Those who protect us – military personnel, mobilized, members of the Wagner PMC – they all defend the country. This should be our unified position.”
