State Duma Deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov vowed to cut off the heads of members of the family of Judge Saidi Yangulbaev. This appeal was made by the parliamentarian on Instagram, promising also to cut off the heads of those who translate his words into Russian.
“Know that day and night, not sparing our lives, property and offspring, we will pursue you until we cut off your heads and kill you. We really have enmity and blood feud with you! It also applies to those who translate this video into Russian 〈…〉 If you think you can lift your heads, then I swear to Allah, we will cut off your heads! 〈…〉 And even if all the laws on earth are against us, we will still deal with you! Let them imprison us for this, kill us or blow us up with a nuclear bomb, ”the 1ADAT telegram channel (included in the register of banned sites) translates the deputy’s words.
Earlier, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, also threatened the Yangulbaev family. He called the family “accomplices of terrorists” and said that they were waiting for “a place either in prison or underground.” The Kremlin called Kadyrov’s words “personal opinion.”
Security forces from Chechnya broke into Yangulbaev’s Nizhny Novgorod apartment under the pretext that Zarema Musaeva was being held as a witness in a criminal case of fraud committed in 2019, while Yangulbaev’s family left Grozny in 2017. Yangulbaev, as a retired judge, enjoys immunity, so they did not touch him, and the Chechen police forcefully took Musaeva with them and took her to Grozny.
There, the woman was placed in a special detention center, condemned to 15 days of administrative arrest, allegedly because she attacked a policeman. On January 31, the telegram channel Baza reported that a criminal case had been initiated against Musaeva on the use of violence against a representative of the authorities (Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). However, it is not possible to verify this, since the investigating authorities of Chechnya remain silent, and Musayeva’s lawyers are not allowed to see her.
